Social Media Rapid Growth

There is not a doubt that social media has grown immensely during these past couple of years. With the creation of MySpace, Twitter, Facebook, people and companies have 'expanded' in a sort of way. For example, companies have started to implement their products and information on social pages, by opening their 'like' profiles. A lot of companies have gained success doing this type of marketing because in the world we live in today, it is all about networking.

When an individual clicks 'like' on a Facebook profile which belongs to some sort of company or artist, it gives that person a sense of having a 'relationship' with someone they never thought of. That, I believe is one of the biggest points why someone likes a page. It is important for companies to keep in touch with their followers whether is on Facebook or Twitter because that creates more opportunities for them to create business relationships; it may be to strengthen one or it may be for the creation of a new relationship.

I use the method that companies and artists use these days with my own music company. I have a Deejay company named Power Beatz. What I did was open a Facebook page to keep in touch with my customers; by having my old customers or followers like my page I gain other new followers which creates business for me. It is not easy I admit it, but I try to post almost every day some new info or even sometimes new mixes made by me, I also ask for feedback and even comment on my followers status updates so they see I care for them.

According to different studies, research shows that Facebook has a lot of marketing potential for many different reasons. One of the reasons is that people spend 1 minute on Facebook of every 3 minutes spent online, meaning people may spent up 23 hours on Facebook a week. Another reason is that the ads put on Facebook which appear on people's profiles are seen by others so that attracts many people. For those and many more reasons companies are turning their focus on marketing all their products and services on the web.

E-Marketing is becoming more important than we think!

  1. I also believe that networking, if utilize appropriately, could be very rewarding for businesses. Networking is like online word of mouth, which will help you build a reputation and help you get your brand image across. Having a business is not an easy job, but surely this new way of communication will make your life easier. You do have to put some time into the page, responding to customers and keeping them informed on what you have to offer them.

I am very sure that this new way of marketing products, people and businesses will take offer, if it has not done it yet, the traditional media.

  2. Facebook I think has the potential to be one of the best marketing sites, if it isn't already. One bad word of mouth will reach thousands of people, so it's in a company's best interest to listen to it user's and trying to be open minded,
